An NPP communicator, Akosua Manu has been heavily dragged by social media users after claiming the Bank of Ghana Governor does not plant maize to determine the level of inflation in the country.
Manu, a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, made the statement during an appearance on New Day on TV3.
According to her, the recent demonstration by the members of the minority caucus in Parliament and some other Ghanaians gainst the Bank of Ghana Governor, Ernest Addison, was completely needless.
The #OccupyBOG demo had called for the resignation of the Central Bank governor for presiding over an unprecedented loss in the previous fiscal year.
However, reacting to the demo, Manu said the blame being put on Dr Addison was completely misplaced.
“If we are talking about factors that affect inflation including food, it’s not the Bank of Ghana that plant maize of plantain to determine that” – Akosua Manu said.
“See her face like Nana Addo’s head siaaa girl,” one angry netizn retorted.
